Work at the Chair in Strategic Management of Information Technology addresses the means that companies may use to increase their capacity to select, deploy and implement information technologies in such a manner as to have a real impact on organizational performance.  To this end, our research specifically addresses:

  • Strategic alignment of information technologies: the quality of fit between corporate strategy, IT strategy, corporate structure and IT structure;
  • The role of information technologies in emerging organizational forms, more specifically those that integrate the value chains of business partners;
  • The governance of the IT function, the structure of the IT department and management of the risk inherent in IT outsourcing;
  • Risk management in information technologies projects.
